Virginia Sports Betting Holding Steady Despite Fewer Sportsbooks

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia has four fewer sportsbooks than it did a year ago , and bettors barely moved. The Virginia Lottery’s September report shows 10 mobile sportsbooks took $725.6 million in bets, down 0.8% from last September, when 14 were authorized. The list has shrunk throughout the year. Virginia sports betting was down to 13 mobile sportsbooks by January, 12 by March, 11 by June and 10 by September . Some of those were only names on a list.
