Privacy policy

Short version: you can read everything without an account, and we keep as little as we can.

If you only read

We set no cookies for readers. Your choice of light or dark mode is saved in your own browser and never sent to us. Our host keeps ordinary access logs (address, page, time) for security, for up to 30 days. Pictures load directly from the outlets that published them, so those outlets can see that your browser asked for the picture.

If analytics are switched on, Google Analytics records visits in aggregate. You can block it with any content blocker and the site works the same.

If you create an account

We store your name, email address and a scrambled form of your password that cannot be turned back into the password. One cookie keeps you logged in for 30 days. Columns you send us are stored with your account, and published ones appear under the name you gave.

If you write to us

Messages from the contact and sponsor forms are kept so we can answer, and are emailed to the editor.

What we never do

We do not sell or share personal details, and we do not send marketing email.

Removal

Ask through the contact page from the email address on the account, and we will delete the account and its unpublished drafts within seven days. Tell us in the same message if published columns should come down too.

Age

The site covers gambling and is meant for adults. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over.
