Stake adds New Zealand to international online casino expansion plans

Stake is pursuing entry into New Zealand’s regulated online casino market following its expansion into Alberta (Canada), Argentina and Mexico in 2026. Stake is among the operators that have progressed through New Zealand’s license auction process and secured the right to apply for a license under the country’s new regulatory framework. However, no licenses have been granted yet , and the market is expected to launch in 2027, subject to completion of the licensing process and regulatory approvals. The potential New Zealand entry follows the company’s efforts to establish operations in additional markets .
