Macau visitor arrivals climb 8.5% through September while gaming revenue grows 3.2%

Macau’s visitor arrivals rose 8.5% to 32.18 million in the first nine months of 2026 , but casino gross gaming revenue grew only 3.2% to MOP187.12 billion ($23.19 billion) over the same period. GGR growth, however, has lost pace through the year. Cumulative casino revenue growth stood at 24.0% in January, slowed to 6.8% by June and reached 3.2% at the end of September . The difference between tourism and gaming results peaked in September. GGR fell 1.2% year-on-year to MOP18.06 billion ($2.24 billion) , the fourth consecutive month of year-on-year declines and the lowest monthly GGR total of 2026.
