Hippos ATG becomes second operator to announce Finnish gambling licence

Hippos ATG plans to go live on 1 July 2027, following Wildz Group, but Finland’s National Police Board has yet to publish any licence decisions. Finland’s licensed gambling market opens on 1 July 2027, ending Veikkaus’s monopoly on betting and online casino games. Hippos ATG Oy, a joint venture between Swedish operator AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) and Finnish trotting and horse breeding association Suomen Hippos, said on 19 October 2026 that it has been granted a gambling licence.
