Ethereum’s decentralization model is the answer to an AI arms race: Vitalik Buterin

Is growing AI risk setting the stage for wider blockchain adoption? Vitalik Buterin certainly thinks so. Speaking at Devcon 8 in Mumbai, India, Ethereum's co-founder said that centralizing AI tools could lead to an AI arms race. So how can this be an opportunity for blockchain? Structurally, blockchains operate through decentralized networks, reducing dependence on a single entity. But centralized networks suffer from single points of failure, meaning that an attack could take down the whole network. Decentralized networks such as Ethereum reduce this risk by spreading control across multiple participants.
