Escape From Playtime Team Hit By Layoffs at Mob Entertainment

Mob Entertainment has laid off members of the Escape from Playtime team on November 4, 2026. Escape from Playtime came out just last month, but hasn’t seen the same performance as the developer’s Poppy’s Playtime titles. The reasoning behind the layoffs wasn’t provided, but Insider Gaming has learned how many people were being let go from the team. Richard Maddern, who was the lead game designer for Escape From Playtime at Mob Entertainment, announced on his LinkedIn that he and several other team members were now looking for work.
