EA Office Vandalized Over Mass Effect Cancellation

An EA office in Madrid has been vandalized by disgruntled fans, protesting the recently confirmed cancellation of the in-development Mass Effect Universe . The return of the Mass Effect franchise was officially shelved after EA confirmed that developer BioWare was shut down. EA shocked the gaming industry with the announcement that BioWare will be closing after more than 30 years . The studio was first founded in 1995 and produced a wealth of popular franchises based on beloved IPs, including Baldur's Gate , Neverwinter Nights , and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic .
