Valkyrae announces break after learning of nephew’s death on stream

Valkyrae has announced she is taking a break from streaming to spend time with her family following the death of her nephew. The 100 Thieves co-owner was playing R.E.P.O. with fellow content creators on October 11 when she received a notification on her phone. She subsequently turned off her camera before telling viewers that her nephew had died. "I think I have to end stream. I'm sorry, chat. I need to mute. Oh, my god, I can't stream," Valkyrae said. "Okay, my nephew passed away. And I can't... I can't, like, do anything because... I'm far. It's my half-brother's son.
