TikTok explorer Ash Dykes missing with no contact for 16 hours during Congo expedition

TikTok adventurer Ash Dykes' team has issued a concerning update after going more than 16 hours without hearing from the explorer or his crew during their kayaking expedition through the Congo Basin. The Welsh adventurer began his 434-mile journey down the Sangha River on October 8, documenting the expedition for millions of followers on TikTok. Dykes is traveling through the remote Central African rainforest in an inflatable kayak, accompanied by a local guide and a videographer. The expedition is expected to take three to four weeks, with the group facing dangers including crocodiles, hippos, disease, and difficult river conditions.
