Tenjutsu, the New Roguelike From Dead Cells’ Former Director, Launches in 2027

Remember Tenjutsu , a 2D pixel brawler helmed by former Dead Cells director Sébastien Benard? After seemingly falling off the face of the Earth for all these years, it’s received a new trailer and a 2027 release window. If that wasn’t enough, Nintendo Switch 2 players can get their hands on it alongside PC. The latest gameplay trailer showcases what made Tenjutsu stand out in the first place: Protagonist Ten, a former Yakuza recently released from prison, taking fools to school with brutal hand-to-hand (and oftentimes, head-to-face) knockouts.
