Square Enix Built Final Fantasy VII Remake for One Player, But a New Mod Lets 2 Players Team Up

For the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, Square Enix came up with one of the best battle systems ever made for a role-playing game, combining the intensity of an action-oriented battle system with the tactical options possible only in turn-based systems. As the player needs to switch between characters to master these mechanics, more than a few wondered if this party-based system would have made for a great multiplayer experience. And today, they got their answer, thanks to an in-development co-op mod that looks downright impressive.
