School sued for $1 million after students served pretzels with oven cleaner as seasoning

A family is suing a school and school district in Oregon for almost $1 million after students were served pretzels seasoned with crushed oven cleaner. Back in October 2025, parents of students at Fowler Middle School were told that their children had been served pretzels seasoned with crushed oven cleaner as a snack. The parents were reportedly not alerted until a few hours had passed, causing uproar. As per KPTV, parents demanded answers from the school, school district, and police.
