MegaCryptoPolis rebrands as MCPOLIS for AI agents

OG blockchain game MegaCryptoPolis has announced a rebrand to MCPOLIS as it prepares to introduce autonomous AI agents that can play alongside humans in a persistent virtual city. The project unveiled the new identity alongside a gameplay reveal announcement on 28th October. The name combines the original game’s initials with Model Context Protocol, the technology underpinning its proposed approach to connecting AI agents with the game. “AI is no longer just an opponent or a scripted character, it becomes the player itself,” the project said in an emailed announcement. First introduced in 2018, MegaCryptoPolis developed around a blockchain city-building economy.
