A 20-year-old Canadian crypto scammer who stole millions of dollars has been sentenced to prison after splashing out on luxury cars, jewelry, and partying, even showing people how he committed the crimes over Discord. Trenton Johnston was just 17 when he began scamming cryptocurrency holders in January 2024, eventually making his way to Miami, where he spent his stolen fortune on an extravagant lifestyle. However, Johnston seemingly made little effort to keep his activities secret, with investigators discovering that he had demonstrated how he carried out the thefts by sharing his screen with others on Discord.
