A blogger was found guilty of harassment after sending a message containing a picture of the character Shrek's exposed penis to a state senator. Jerry Cirino is a senator who represents Ohio's 18th district. In May, he notified police about text messages he had received from D.J Byrnes, a political blogger with a Substack newsletter. The messages included a photograph depicting Shrek, with his penis exposed. Byrnes pleaded not guilty to telecommunications harassment in court on Thursday, October 8.
