A24’s Elden Ring Movie Costs Nearly $200 Million

A24’s Elden Ring adaptation is reportedly its most expensive film to date, with a nearly $200 million budget and a planned 2028 release. A24’s previous most expensive release was Marty Supreme, with a budget of around $70 million, which surpassed the previous leader, Civil War, with a budget of about $50 million. The relatively new FromSoftware franchise is seeing a quick turnaround in its screen adaptation. The game launched in February 2022 and features world-building courtesy of George R. R. Martin.
