Colombia Sports Betting Contributions Rise

Collections linked to online sports betting rose 84.24% year on year to approximately €132.50 million in the first eight months of 2026, according to figures reported by Colombia’s gambling regulator. The funds form part of the sector’s contributions to the country’s subsidised health system. Coljuegos reported total collections of approximately €273.73 million across the gambling activities it oversees for the first eight months of 2026. That was 39.38% higher than in the same period of 2025, when collections were approximately €196.39 million. The money is intended for Colombia’s subsidised healthcare system.
