Tesla Roadster memes: $6.84 million on Polymarket, memecoin down 95%

The new Tesla Roadster did more than set off a wave of memes on the night of October 15, 2026. It moved money. On the prediction platform Polymarket, traders put 6.84 million dollars on whether the car would reach 60 miles per hour in under one second at its demo in McGregor, Texas. A memecoin called Flying Tesla Roadster climbed to a market value of 7.4 million dollars a few hours after the kickflip and now trades 95 percent lower. Tesla stock rose 4.4 percent in premarket trading and closed the day down 2.1 percent. The memes keep running.
