PAGCOR reports 23.41% revenue decline as gaming earnings weaken

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) reported a 23.41% year-on-year decline in total revenue to ₱64.41 billion (US$1 billion) in the first nine months of 2026, citing weaker earnings from gaming operations and related services. The corporation's net income fell 84.85% to ₱2.17 billion (US$34.7 million) in the period from ₱14.32 billion (US$229.1 million) a year earlier, after a Supreme Court ruling required PAGCOR to remit 5% of its gross revenues to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC). The rate under the ruling is nearly double the level of PAGCOR's previous remittances to the sports agency.
