Namibia Advances Betting Regulation as Stakeholders Gather in Windhoek for Licensing Workshop

Following the announcement of its regulatory session, the Gambling Board of Namibia (GBN) hosted an Industry Consultation Workshop on the Licensing of Bookmakers and Totalizators at NIPAM in Windhoek . The workshop brought together government officials, regulators, technical experts, and regional and international representatives to discuss licensing requirements, regulatory compliance, responsible gambling, and the future of Namibia’s betting sector. Key attendees included Hon. Indileni N. Daniel , Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, G/O (rtd) Ben Shikongo , Chairperson of the Gambling Board of Namibia , and Mr. John Erastus , its Acting CEO.
