Monzo looks to conquer Spain with Bizum support

Monzo says it has “big ambitions” for Spain, though the country is considerably different from the UK and Ireland. Monzo has selected Spain as its first market in continental Europe, taking the next step in its expansion plans for the continent. Launching as a fully regulated bank and registering with the Banco de España , Monzo can offer customers free personal, joint, under-18, business and instant-access savings accounts. Each account includes a Spanish IBAN and integrates with Bizum , the country’s mobile payment service.
