Argentina collects $81 million in online gambling tax revenue, surpassing all of 2025

Argentina’s Revenue and Customs Control Agency ( ARCA ) reported that revenue from the indirect tax on authorized online betting and gambling platforms totaled ARS 123.856 billion (USD 81 million) between January and September 2026. The figure exceeds the total collected throughout last year and represents 0.03% of GDP, according to estimates by consulting firm Empiria published by newspaper El Cronista . Taking into account estimated inflation of 1.8% for September, tax revenue is estimated to have grown by around 42% in real terms during the first nine months of the year.
