Solana Mainnet Beta Reaches 1,000 Days Without a Full Halt

Solana’s Mainnet Beta cluster reached 1,000 days without a block-finalization halt at 4:53 a.m. ET Nov. 2 (9:53 a.m. UTC). The milestone measures time since the start of the network’s last full cluster halt, not uninterrupted service at every part of its ecosystem. The interval began Feb. 6, 2024, at 9:53 a.m. UTC, when the cluster stopped finalizing blocks. During the failure, validators entered a repeated program-compilation cycle while replaying transactions, preventing consensus from advancing. The problem involved the LoadedPrograms cache, and consensus resumed about five hours later.
