Shopify and Coinbase Detail Stablecoin Checkout Plans on Base

Shopify and Coinbase plan to let Shopify Payments merchants accept stablecoin payments on Base, allowing customers to pay from supported wallets without holding Ether (ETH) for transaction fees. The Commerce Payments Protocol is designed for merchant payments using stablecoins, including USD Coin (USDC). Merchants will be able to choose whether to receive payments in USDC or local currency.
