Coinbase Launches AI Agent Sign-Ups for Crypto Trading With Built-In Safety Limits

Growing its platform more directly towards AI-driven trading, Coinbase has launched a new web page aimed at specifically registering software agents. CEO Brian Armstrong said the company wants Coinbase to become the “most AI-enabled financial account,” while the new Agents product lets users connect existing AI tools to their Coinbase accounts. The Coinbase for Agents page enables users to integrate AI assistants that support the agency and grant their access to the agency’s Coinbase accounts. The list of compatible tools means that tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Perplexity, Cursor, Hermes and Muse are all supported for use with Coinbase.
