CertiK reports $8 million in documented crypto security losses linked to the UAE

CertiK said on 3 November that it had identified five digital asset security incidents in 2026 that originated in the UAE or involved UAE-registered entities. Four accounted for about $8.02 million in documented losses. The loss from the fifth remained unconfirmed, and the firm said gaps in reporting and attribution could leave additional losses uncounted. Security work with UAE firms CertiK said startups in Abu Dhabi’s Hub71 ecosystem can access discounted security services and its compliance platform through its role as a Hub71 vendor.
