Binance Targets Nov. 2-3 ET for Full Zero-Knowledge Reserve Proofs

Binance expects to publish full zero-knowledge proofs for its reserves by Nov. 3 Vietnam time, providing a way for users to verify balances after the exchange disclosed its Oct. 29 hot-wallet compromise. The latest Proof of Reserves snapshot was timestamped at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 30 (00:00 UTC Oct. 31). Binance’s process checks control of reserve wallets, snapshots customer balances and uses Merkle trees and zk-SNARKs to let users verify balances. The exchange had outlined an earlier timetable for a full reserve report . The replenished amount reached about 95%, up from 90% in the previous update.
