BackPack Targets South Korean Stock Market, Partners with SK Securities

In another big move in brining capital markets on-chain, Backpack is partnering with South Korean financial services firm SK Securities to expand international access to Korean-listed equities. Under the agreement, eligible non-resident foreign investors will be able to access South Korean stock trading through the Backpack app. The partnership brings together SK Securities experience in Koreas capital markets and Backpacks global user base, blockchain infrastructure and digital asset custody capabilities. The companies said the collaboration will cover different stages of the securities lifecycle, including structuring, issuance, custody and distribution to international investors, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
