UAE-Led Coalition Exposes $39 Billion in Crypto Fraud, 960 Arrested

Carried out for three months, the operation resulted in the arrest of nearly 100 defendants and the raid of 29 fraud centers. 30 countries and 13 private sector partners, including Huawei, Mastercard, and Meta, were involved in the joint actions that managed to identify over $39 billion in fraud-linked assets. The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior and an international coalition of law enforcement agencies have dealt a strong hit to international digital fraud crime networks, thwarting over 123.71 million online fraud attempts in Operation Confrontation Ghost.
