Ripple Expands BNY Custody Support as C2FO Plans XRPL Payments

Ripple expanded its strategic collaboration with BNY on Oct. 27, adding XRP and Ripple USD (RLUSD) to the assets eligible institutional clients can hold and transfer through the bank’s digital-asset custody service. BNY also plans to support more tokenized assets and investment products issued on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), and to let clients mint and redeem RLUSD through the bank. Those plans are subject to final BNY and regulatory approvals. The custody expansion builds on BNY’s work safeguarding RLUSD reserves and its custody relationship with Ripple Prime.
