Ripple BLOOM Initiative Expands as Malaysia and Thailand Join Singapore

The Ripple BLOOM Initiative has garnered some traction as Singapore extends its cross-border payment initiative with the inclusion of the central banks of Malaysia and Thailand from October 23, 2026. Headed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), this initiative seeks to enhance international payments through the use of regulated stablecoins and tokenized bank deposits. This development introduces more regional policymakers into the discourse surrounding digital currency standards and payment facilitation in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Cross River is incorporating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin based on the XRP ledger into its banking core system.
