OCC Stablecoin Rule Sets First Reports for Jan. 25, 2027

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) set Jan. 25, 2027, as the first weekly reporting date under its stablecoin rule, with the schedule subject to Office of Management and Budget approval. The first quarterly report date is March 31, 2027, also pending OMB approval. The rule’s confidential PS-01 form will track unpaid tokens, average redemption times and amounts unpaid for more than two business days. The OCC’s GENIUS Act rule takes effect Jan. 18, 2027. It removes a proposed automatic seven-calendar-day extension when redemptions pass a threshold.
