A one-week gap between U.S. and German clock changes puts the Federal Reserve’s Oct. 28 statement at 7 p.m. CET and Deribit’s options expiry at 9 a.m. CET Friday. The Federal Open Market Committee is scheduled to meet Oct. 27-28. Its statement is set for 2 p.m. ET (1800 UTC) Wednesday, Oct. 28, followed by a press conference at 2:30 p.m. ET (1830 UTC). Those times are 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. CET in Germany. Germany moved its clocks back one hour on Oct. 25, while U.S. daylight saving time continues through Nov. 1.
