Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Moves 4,582 BTC, Sale Remains Unconfirmed

A Bitcoin wallet that had held its coins for about six years moved its entire 4,582 BTC balance, worth $377.58 million, late on October 12, according to on-chain tracker Lookonchain. It is the third long-dormant wallet to move around 4,500 BTC in just over two weeks, but neither a sale nor an exchange deposit has been confirmed. An on-chain transfer shows that coins moved, not why they moved or what happens next. The timing has put the move on traders’ radar. Bitcoin trades at $83,635, down 0.31% over 24 hours, after dropping to around $81,000 during a sharp sell-off.
