Critical Vote on This Altcoin Reaches 93% Support—Major Changes May Be Coming

The Starknet community has strongly supported exploring a transition from the Ethereum-based second-layer structure to an independent first-layer blockchain. In a seven-day preliminary vote that concluded today, over 93.5% of the votes cast were in favor of the proposal. According to information shared by StarkWare, more than 2,800 wallets participated in the vote. The company stated that it did not participate in the voting in order to avoid influencing the community's decision with its own votes. The primary reason for the change in focus is post-quantum security.
