CFTC Sets Dec. 15 Roundtable on 24/7 Derivatives Trading

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will bring derivatives-industry participants to Washington on Dec. 15 to examine whether markets can shift to round-the-clock trading and how the agency should approach the change. The discussion will cover overnight trading, tokenization, infrastructure and staffing needs, and operational readiness. The discussion will examine ways to advance responsible innovation while safeguarding participants and supporting the integrity and resilience of U.S. derivatives markets. The roundtable builds on the CFTC's request for comment earlier this summer on 24/7 trading. CME Group's Uniswap (UNI) futures are already available on a 24/7 schedule.
