BNB Chain Jenner Hardfork Hits Testnet With 5% Payment Lane for Faster Crypto Transfers

BNB Smart Chain has implemented the Jenner hardfork on its testnet, enabling a specialized payment method to ensure uninterrupted crypto transfers during network congestion. The update includes Payment Lane, more accurate block timestamps and some foundations for the upcoming CAS20 asset standard. The highlights are Payment Lane, introduced as BEP-703. The default amount of gas the system will place on each block to be used by eligible payment transactions is 5%. The demand for payment doesn’t need to actually be high for general network activity to make use of this reserved capacity.
