Bitcoin Closes at $80,048 in First Three-Week Slide Since May

Bitcoin (BTC) closed a third straight losing week at $80,048 on Oct. 25, its first such streak since May and a 7.4% drop from the start of the slide. The run began with BTC at $86,490 on Oct. 5. It finished that week at $83,679, then closed at $82,002 for Oct. 12-18 and $80,048 for Oct. 19-25. The 7.4% decline compares the opening price on Oct. 5 with the closing price on Oct. 25. May was the previous time Bitcoin recorded three weekly declines in a row.
