Avalanche Launches JPYC Refunds for 36.8M Tourists Nov 1

Japan turns airport tax refund booths int o stablecoin settlement on-ramps on Avalanche. Starting Nov. 1, international travellers shopping in Japan will be able to have their Japanese consumption tax refunds deposited directly into a wallet as JPYC stablecoin on Avalanche C-Chain, rather than in cash or through their credit card. The plan, announced Oct. 29 by Japan Tax Free and its refund division Japan Refund in partnership with JPYC Inc.
