Anthropic Model Token Volume on OpenRouter Up 3.6x Since Opus 5.5 Launch

Token volume for Anthropic models routed through OpenRouter was up 3.6x on a seven-day average since Claude Opus 5.5 launched Sept. 22, a rise that coincided with two later releases and lower-priced model options. Peter Walker, OpenRouter’s head of insights, described the metric in an Oct. 25 post: “New from OpenRouter: 7-day average token volume for Anthropic models is up 3.6x since the launch of Opus 5.5.” The chart’s daily series extends through Oct. 24. OpenRouter groups prompt and completion tokens routed through its API into daily UTC buckets.
