Akash Network Selects Solana for Planned Move From Cosmos

Akash Network’s core team has chosen Solana for a planned departure from its Cosmos sovereign chain, with plans to rebuild its decentralized compute marketplace as a native program on Solana’s mainnet. Akash Network co-founder Greg Osuri announced the selection. The team plans to submit a migration proposal on akashnet-2, which must reach a 33.4% quorum and win majority approval. If the proposal passes and two independent audits are completed, Akash would issue its native token, AKT, as an SPL token on Solana after a two-week wait.
