Zcash Grants Dispute: Why ZEC Dropped 10% and Why I Longed It

The Zcash grants dispute knocked ZEC down about 10% overnight, to a low near $1,128, while Bitcoin barely moved. Two things hit at once. A fight over who controls the Zcash Community Grants pool, worth roughly 91,500 ZEC, boiled over on X and the Zcash forum. At the same time, a whale got liquidated on a leveraged long when price lost $1,200. All of this lands two days before the NU7 upgrade.
